Using the tool

Should I Wait? is a free tool to help you reflect on shopping decisions. You remain responsible for deciding what to buy, when to buy it, and what you can afford. Suggestions are based only on the answers you enter and a small set of disclosed rules.

Scope and limitations

The tool does not provide financial, medical or legal advice. It does not assess your complete circumstances, verify prices, predict sales, guarantee savings, or establish whether a product is suitable. Do not rely on it for essential care, safety decisions, borrowing or investment decisions.

Cost per use depends on your estimates and excludes costs you have not entered, such as repairs, financing, delivery or resale value.

Your data and shared links

You control the content you enter. Do not include unlawful, harmful or sensitive content in shared item names. Shared links are editable by their sender and are not verified reports. Saved lists are browser-local; keep your own backup if it matters to you. Review the privacy policy for details.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the tool useful, but availability, uninterrupted access and preservation of browser data cannot be guaranteed. Features and these terms may change; the date above identifies the current version. Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited in your jurisdiction.
